Weight Loss Plans
Do it for you: ways to achieve success with a weight loss plan Everyone who has tried to
loose weight knows that it isn’t easy! Weight loss plans can be easily designed, but they are not necessarily easy
to follow. The key to committing yourself to a weight loss plan is to design one that suits your lifestyle. Once
you have a good idea of what you can realistically achieve, you can then set some weight loss goals. Weight loss is
about commitment and a big part of this commitment consists of truthfully and realistically knowing what you can
handle. Don’t set yourself up for failure, design a weight loss plan that encourages you to succeed!
Step One: Be Realistic In order to effectively assess your limits, start by making some
notes. Write down your typical 7-day schedule, including what time you wake up, when you eat, when you exercise,
your work hours, right up to the time you go to sleep. This will give you an idea of how busy you are and what kind
of weight loss plan best suits your lifestyle. For instance, if you work a 13-hour day, it is not realistic to
think that you can fit in a gym workout everyday at a location far from your place of work.
Step Two: Know your Eating Habits All effective weight loss plans will take into account
your eating habits. You need to be aware of the foods you eat in order to determine what good foods you should keep
and what bad foods you need to cut out. Once you have an idea of your schedule and availability and of the foods
you need to eat or stop eating, you can move forward with designing a weight loss plan. Weight loss plans will
differ for every individual, but it is crucial that you spend the time researching a credible and safe diet that is
right for you. Careful thought and research will help you meet your goals.
Step Three: Make it Fun! If you are determined to meet your weight loss goals, you may want
to make it fun. If you look forward to loosing weight and enjoy yourself while you’re at it, your chances of
successfully achieving your goals significantly improve. Some ways of adding a little fun could include taking a
class with friends, bringing along the dogs for long walks, engaging in a little friendly competition with a friend
who is also trying to loose weight, or writing a blog that informs readers of your progress. Fun is key and it will
help you to hang in there in times when you want to quit!
Step Four: Have a Goal in Sight Sometimes when loosing weight seems just too hard, it is
necessary to know what you want to achieve and why. When you are set to start a weight loss plan, make sure that
you have an end goal. Perhaps your goal is to loose 20 pounds for your wedding, or to shape up before beginning to
look for a new job. Whatever your goal may be, know it clearly in your mind!
Step Five: Remind yourself of why you are doing this It’s true, waking up early and going
for a jog can be a pain, but if you constantly remind yourself of that size 6 dress you are going to fit into, you
may find some motivation. To remind yourself of your weight loss goals, keep some kind of reminder nearby such as a
picture, an invitation, a school yearbook, whatever will inspire you. A visual aid can be really useful when
loosing weight gets to be difficult!
Finally, don’t forget to recognize your progress As you continue to loose weight, make sure
that you recognize all milestones. When you loose that first 10 pounds or when you can finally see a six-pack
again, tell someone about it and do something nice for yourself, like going out for a night on the town - you
deserve it!
